March

We both feel that there is little to say about March.

Alex was busy looking for a job. Spending many hours on the internet, at job fairs, and in his really nice interview outfit.

Joy was busy learning a whole new world of finance.

April

April brought with it a breath of fresh air.

We celebrated our one year anniversary on April 14th. We spent the weekend in Glennwood Springs, a small mountain town in western Colorado made famous by it's hot springs. We had a wonderful time exploring the little town, swimming in the hot springs at night, and hiking to a beautiful mountain lake in the snow.

Alex was offered a job with Air Methods, the largest air ambulance company in the country. He began his job on April 14th as an Assembly Technician. Alex LOVES his new job. And Joy loves that Alex is back on helicopters and working and not driving her crazy.

May

Alex would like to emphasize that May was the month he had a dream come true. His new job required him to provide his own tools. So, he got to purchase his very own blue Snap-On toolbox along with "tons" of amazing tools. We are still not sure how we were able to go through two months of unemployment and purchase such an amazing thing outright. But God is awesome and he provides for all of our needs! We are excited to see how God will allow Alex to use these tools to not only provide for our family but serve others.

(Alex's "best friend" next to Joy. Joy can't believe a tool box costs that much. Her response upon hearing how much it really cost: "can you drive it to work too?")

Don't Worry...

June through December is on it's way soon.

Thank you for your prayers...

Hello dear family and friends,

Well, I watched the sun set on another day filled with its ups and downs, but three things I know... God is real, God is here, and God is working. He has been so faithful, giving us peace in the midst of uncertainty and pain. I have never felt so clearly before the posture of being a vessel for the Lord. I am truly just along for the ride.

For those who don't know, on Wednesday afternoon Alex was in a motorcycle accident and has been in the hospital for the past five days. His injuries are primarily on his right side and include several broken bones in his arm and leg. He has been doing so well with his physical therapy the past few days. So well, in fact, that he was able to move to the rehab unit today. I am so proud of him. For three days Alex will be on the rehab floor learning all the practical things he needs to make a safe transition to home. The plan is he will be home on Friday.

A few prayer requests:

1. Please pray that Alex can eat and keep down food. The drugs he is on makes him nauseous. He really needs to get nutrients so his body can heal.
2. Please keep praying for his progression in physical therapy and that his blood pressure would stay up.
3. Please keep praying that he does not develop an infection.
4. Please pray that his heart will stay encouraged throughout this process.

I can't begin to tell you how the Lord is so fully providing for our every need. He is our fount of every blessing and I can't help but tune my heart to sing his praise his streams of mercy are never ceasing and most definitely call for songs of loudest praise!

Thank you dear loved ones.
Joy
