One Year

Today marks one year since my Love asked me to marry him. I am so thankful for the precious time I have had with him in my life and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with my best friend and most precious gift from God.

Missing Home

So, today I was struck with a bit of homesickness. As hard as homesickness can be the Lord is always faithful to remind me that this world is not my home. He gently reminds me of the truth that this longing in my heart for a place here on earth is really longing for my true home in heaven. Oh, how wonderful that place must be! I have had the privilege of living in some amazing places and calling them home over my 24 years and yet they are just a small taste of the goodness the Lord has in store for us. But heaven's goodness is not just simply because of how amazing heaven is going tobe but the amazing reality that I will be able to gaze upon my beautiful Saviour and spend eternity worshiping him. Now that is an incredible thought. So on a day like today when I am longing for the beautiful sandy beach in Sandbridge or the old tree lined streets of Fredericksburg or my fun and welcoming family I am once again reminded that my extraordinary eternal home is awaiting me in heaven with my Saviour's hands outstretched waiting to finally welcome me home.

Wedding Pictures

I thought I would post some of the pictures that our friends and family took at our wedding. Here are some of my favorites. They are a bit out of order but I hope you enjoy. I will post some of the professional ones when we get them. Meghan and Talia did an amazing job. Alex and I had almost 1,700 pictures to pick from. That is mainly the reason (along with all of our company ;) why we were so slow in choosing which pictures were going into our album. Check out Meghan's website if you want to see more of her work. meghanshawphotography.com
